Suction filter as protective filter
Suction filters are attached to the suction line of the hydraulic pump. They protect the hydraulic pump from coarse dirt from the hydraulic tank.

Installation: flush in tank
Permissible operating temperature: -25 °C to 110 °C
Note: not suitable for depth filtration
Pressure filters as working and protective filters
Pressure filters are used when the system pressure increases. They protect the system and sensitive components such as proportional valves and servo valves from contamination.

Return filter as depth filter
Return filters are attached to the return line in front of or above the hydraulic tank. It filters the oil before it flows back into the tank and captures the dirt particles formed in the system. This ensures that no contamination from the system is fed into the tank and no contamination cycles occur. Integrated bypass valves are often used to protect the hydraulic system and the complete filter from excessive back pressure in the return line.

Spin-on filters consist of a filter head made of die-cast aluminum and a heavy-duty sheet metal filter cartridge that can be screwed into the filter head and discarded when the filter is changed.
