Hydraulic Oil Water Separation Filter
The presence of water in hydraulic systems can degrade the quality of the oil in the system and damage system components. Therefore, water separation filters are used to separate water in hydraulic systems. These filters are designed to remove or absorb water contained in hydraulic oil.
Water separation filters can generally be of two main types:
Suction Type Water Separation Filters: These filters separate water by sucking water into the hydraulic oil. Suction type filters usually contain an absorbent material or a special water retention agent. When the hydraulic oil is drawn into the filter, this material retains the water and reduces the water in the hydraulic oil. The water retaining material is then replaced or cleaned during normal operation of the hydraulic system.
Synthesis Filtration Systems: These systems use synthetic filter elements to separate water by filtering hydraulic oil. These filters work by separating and removing water molecules from hydraulic oil. Synthesis filtration systems are generally considered a more complex and more effective method of water separation.
Water separation filters are important to increase the performance of the hydraulic system and ensure its longevity. While these filters prevent water from damaging the system, they preserve the quality of the hydraulic oil and prevent problems that may occur in the system.
As long as Hydraulic Systems operate in outdoor environments, water is mixed into them due to the effect of humidity in the air. Separating Hydraulic Oil from water is a very costly process. You can make your job easier with the Oil Water Separation Filter, which can solve the water separation process from hydraulic oil at an affordable cost.

Methods for Separating Water from Oil
The process of removing water from oil involves removing or absorbing the water in the hydraulic oil from the system. Water in hydraulic oil can usually exist due to leaks in the system, condensation or caused by external factors. Water is an undesirable effect in hydraulic systems because it can reduce the performance of the oil, damage system components and cause corrosion.
Here are some common methods for removing water from hydraulic oil:
Filtering: Water in the hydraulic oil is separated by using special water separation filters. These filters contain special materials or filter elements that separate or absorb water from oil. The filtration process captures water as the oil circulates within the system and traps it in the filter element.
Desiccant Drying: In this method, a material called desiccant is added to the hydraulic system. Desiccant absorbs and removes water in hydraulic oil. Desiccant drying systems are generally used with a drying tank or drying filter.
Vacuum Drying: In this method, vacuum is applied from the hydraulic oil system. Vacuum removes the water in the oil by evaporating it. This process is carried out depending on the temperature of the water and the pressure in the system.
Filtering: It is the process of passing the oil through a specific strainer to reduce the water content of the hydraulic oil. This can be done by using a filter that captures large particles and water.
Heating: By heating the hydraulic oil, the water can be evaporated and the steam can be expelled. However, caution must be exercised in this method because the heat of the oil can damage system components.
Each method has advantages and disadvantages, and the method to be applied is determined depending on the amount of water in the hydraulic system, system requirements and cost factors.

Additional Information
In the absorber, the water molecules in the air are attached to the pores of the absorber (silicagel). Saturation (loading) and subsequent filter cartridge replacement required are indicated by the color changing from orange to green. The valve system protects against unnecessary water intake from the surrounding air during downtimes. This supports longer dwell times of the suction fill.
Silicagel consists of approximately 99% silicon dioxide (SiO2) and is classified as a synthetic, polar and hydrophilic drying agent. Due to its high porosity, it has a maximum inner surface of 800 m2/g. This offers a very high water intake capacity. In vent dryers, silica gel is often shifted by a color indicator. The color changes show the water content and thus the progress in loading the drying agent. Silicagel is not classified as a dangerous substance according to European Union law (EC regulation no 1272/2008). Marking according to EC regulations (67/548/EWG or 1999/45/EC) is not mandatory. Silicagel is not among the substances hazardous to health and the environment.
