Corrugated Metal Flex Hose Advantages
The hose line consists of corrugated hose and fittings that interface with the customer's system. Corrugated hoses and folded spiral hoses are members of the metal hoses family. The basic material of corrugated hoses are seamless or longitudinally welded thin-walled tubes that are mechanically or hydraulically formed by means of special tools. The factors that determine the properties of the corrugated hose such as flexibility, bending behavior and pressure resistance are the groove shape, the wall thickness and the groove spacing. Corrugated hoses are made double-walled or designed as single or double braided to increase pressure resistance. The hose braid serves to absorb the longitudinal force caused by the internal pressure (working pressure). The braids flexibly adapt to the hose's movement state (elongation).

Our corrugated metal Flex hoses are produced from stainless steel materials such as 1.4404, 1.4541 and 1.4571, while braids are produced from 1.4301 steel or the same material as the corrugated hose. Corrugated hoses can be used in the temperature range from -270 ° C to +600 ° C. Working pressure varies according to the nominal diameter and geometries (waveform, number of meshes and wall thickness) and is between 0.1 and 210 bar.
